Jaclyn Abbate

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Jaclyn is a Licensed Master of Social Work (LMSW) in the state of Michigan. Jaclyn received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Albion College, and her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Grand Valley State University. Jaclyn also holds a certification in Animal Assisted Therapy/Interventions. Jaclyn’s therapeutic approach is caring and supportive and she has experience working with people of all ages. She provides therapy to individuals needing support for anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and various life transitions.

Jaclyn enjoys working with children/adolescents ages 6 and up, along with their families. She finds joy in utilizing play therapy to bring creativity to the therapeutic experience. Jaclyn works closely with the families to ensure the child/adolescent is experiencing success at the office, as well as at home and at school. Jaclyn also has experience working with LGBTQ+ youth.

Jaclyn also has training and enjoys working with women and men experiencing perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. She hopes to continue to provide education on post partum depression signs in both women and men to destigmatize symptoms and improve access to care.
